FP SYSTEM
The FP (or Favourites Phenomenon System to give its full title) is a curious stop at a winner type betting system that received its full release at the start of May.

Matt Watson is the creator of the FP system and he himself is one of a small number of 'Professional Gamblers'. Meaning he is that rare breed of person who actually make enough money betting to live off his earnings. That isn't enough for Matt though as he wanted to also sell one of his own betting methods, which is the basis of what the FP systems sells.

I have been talking with Matt over the past few months and he was very good in giving me advance 'heads up' on his system before it was unveiled to Joe public. Matt is extremely confident in his system and I have no doubt that he has actually been following it himself for quite sometime such is his belief in it.

I gave the FP system the usual Terry Allen scrutiny and here is my opinion of what is offer here and how it could certainly benefit you.

STOP AT A WINNER

Stop At A Winner systems are hardly a favourite of mine and if you have read my reviews and thoughts on similar products over the past year you will know exactly why. There is so much junk out there and none more so than in the world of SAAW systems. Check out the services that get a massive thumbs down from me each month, 5 Star Tipster, Sure 2 Profit & 125 Bets are just 3 such SAWW systems I have pulled apart.

I spoke with Matt about this and it was refreshing to see him acknowledge this problem and it's also something he discusses on his website. I commend him actually in being honest and wanting to actually put out a product that takes on the thumbs down SAAW websites at their own game.

So if you have been bitten by SAAW services in the past and have sworn against them in the future (like me!) do try and approach the FP system with an open mind. I did just that and allow me to dissect just how and why it is different.

THE FP SYSTEM

First off it's worth making you all aware that the FP system is a backing SAAW system and not a laying system. This makes a major difference as it controls our staking levels don't get to ridiculous amounts. Also you don't bet on extremely short priced horses which also helps with your staking each day.

The rules to follow are pretty simplistic and you won't need anything more than some basic common sense to track and do yourself. Also thrown into the package is a staking calculator to help you keep on top of what you should be risking on each bet. You don't have to be particularly good at Math's to take advantage of the system so don't worry if you're not exactly Albert Einstein.

What is key with any SAAW system is implementing proper money management before you start. This way you can factor in the losing runs that occur and ensure you can cope with them.

To assist with this, Matt offers sageful advice on 3 ways to approach your own betting with the FP System to suit your own approach and expertise.

There are 3 staking levels, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced, through which you can choose what suits you best. If following the Advanced plan you can potentially make more money, but at the risk of a larger loss as and when a losing day hits (Shock – yes even losing runs hit us successful gamblers!)

The advanced plan may also mean more of a commitment in time as opposed to the basic plan as well (more about this later on in the practical section).

All new members also get access to a huge amount of detailed information about the product and how to maximize your returns from it. Advice is provided on everything to the theory behind the system, the simple rules for following, staking (very important indeed!) to the essential factors for success.

RESULTS

I don't want to sell the golden goose so it's hard to reveal too much more about how the FP System works or why indeed it is a phenomenon but I have done some number crunching and the stats add up.

The stats that appear on the website do make sense and the beauty of the FP system is that you can backtrack results to double-check it all for yourself. Matt gives all new members full instructions on how you can see with your own eyes what it has done over the past few years. That way you know that you are not having the wool pulled over your eyes.

For me this was vital in being comforted that this was a genuine product I was reviewing. I don't want to get into 'rant mode' but I get so fed up with chancers selling products that have no proof of what they have made historically. Pretty much all systems these days can be backtracked using the very handy software and resources available on the market.

Let's get back onto the topic in hand and have a goosy gander at the results generated:

2006 2007 2008
Jan + 28.0 pts + 30.0 pts + 28.0 pts
Feb + 9.5 pts + 28.0 pts + 3.1 pts
Mar - 6.5 pts + 31.0 pts + 28.0 pts
Apr + 0.1 pts + 28.0 pts + 29.0 pts
May + 11.2 pts + 31.0 pts
Jun + 30.0 pts + 30.0 pts
Jul + 30.0 pts + 31.0 pts
Aug - 6.5 pts + 31.0 pts
Sep + 29.0 pts + 30.0 pts
Oct + 31.0 pts + 19.0 pts
Nov + 30.0 pts + 16.1 pts
Dec + 26.0 pts + 28.0 pts

These results list the best performance as achieved using the 'advanced' plan since the start of 2006.

Every day that wins for the system you make 1 pt profit so you can see that certain months such as October 2006 had 31 winning days out of 31. Similarly months like March 2006 had a few losing days knocking out any profit.

Losing days especially using the advanced plan are few and far between although your max loss should be no higher than 30 pts (if you are running and following the simple rules supplied correctly) Actually its worth mentioning that if you don't follow Matt's rules closely it may cost you, so I wouldn't advocate cutting corners or being tempted to bet on days that don't suit.

I have no issues with the results that have been stated here on paper. I need to share with you my thoughts on the actual practical following day in day out of the FP system, which brings me on nicely to my next point...

DAY IN DAY OUT FOLLOWING THE FP

Now this is contrary to a lot of the marketing hype most tipsters indulge in, but in my eyes there is no such thing as a free lunch when it comes to betting. By free lunch I refer to the idea of making money betting and having to do no hard work or be patient and disciplined just like every other battlehardened pro out there.

With my own laying system I know that I will also attract fair-weather followers when its going through a good time, but when a bad spell hits, these same people will leave and all they are doing is 'chasing the winning run'. Actually when you think logically surely the best time to join is after a bad spell as surely a good run is due??

I'm ranting again and my apologies but my point is that the FP system does take a dedication in time and the right kind of thinking to benefit from just like any good system.

You will need if following to be available to bet in the afternoon of racing for each day you wish to make money. You don't have to follow every day and you can certainly just do the days when you have the time, but if you want to make the profits on offer, the more you bet, then the more you will profit conceivably.

Therefore it's a fair commitment in time as you have to be on the ball to place your bets until the winner hits each afternoon and check what your next stake should be.

If you were betting to win £30 per day though, this 1 hr of time on average each day would bring in £150 a week if you did it 5 days a week (before losses). Certainly it may well appeal to anyone running a betting portfolio (which should be all of you looking to be professional).

I think the mental approach to be successful with this system also needs to be looked at. Going with the advanced plan, a losing day may only occur once every 2.5 months and bring with it an average loss of around 17 pts each time.

However what would your reaction be if in your first day or first week of following you were very unlucky and lost 17 pts? (Or more if you were cursed!).

It's more likely you will join and be nicely in profit before a losing day hits but you really need to be prepared for the ups and downs before joining. Don't be too blinded by the stats that you will make x amount day in day out. As an average you will do very well over a year (and longer) but in the shortterm it may test your skills as a professional gambler.

I'm not being negative about the system, as I like it very much but what I am trying to suggest is that it's not going to be for everyone and that you should check whether it's suitable for you.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I do like the FP system and Matt Watson is a very creditable guy who ticks all the right boxes when it comes to selling a successful racing system.

I can really see it appealing to a wide audience and when you factor in his offer of an iron-clad 12 month guarantee of your money back if not for any reason satisfied then it may be worth taking a good look at for each of you.

Its performance is backed up by the stats and if the customer service I believe to be excellent. In fact you can contact Matt directly if you ever have any questions (he is only too happy to assist).

All in all, it's a thumbs up from me.

Thumbs Up
